Privacy Policy

NAATIUrdu helps users practise NAATI CCL Urdu interpreting with dialogue practice, mock tests, transcription, AI scoring, vocabulary, and flashcard materials. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

We collect account information such as your name, email address, password hash, subscription tier, email verification status, and login/session information.

We collect practice information, including selected dialogues, session status, transcripts, edited transcripts, scores, feedback, usage counts, and performance statistics.

When you record an interpretation, we collect the microphone audio recording so it can be transcribed, analysed for speech/audio duration, and used for scoring or reporting features available on your plan.

The webcam/camera preview is used locally in your browser to mimic the real test environment. NAATIUrdu does not record or upload webcam video.

We use your information to provide and secure your account, operate practice sessions, transcribe recordings, generate AI scoring and feedback, enforce plan limits, process subscriptions, show history and statistics, and respond to support requests.

We may also use aggregated or de-identified information to improve the product, content quality, reliability, and abuse prevention.

Your recordings and transcripts may be processed by third-party service providers used by NAATIUrdu, including transcription and AI scoring providers. These requests are made from our backend, not directly from your browser. Some of these providers are located outside Australia (including in the United States), so your information may be processed and stored overseas.

Recording audio is automatically deleted after about 30 days. Webcam video is not recorded or uploaded by NAATIUrdu. Transcripts, scores, feedback, and history remain in your account until you delete your account or we remove them as part of data management.

Payments and subscription billing are handled by Stripe. We do not store your full card number. Stripe may collect and process payment information according to its own terms and privacy practices.

We use secure session cookies to keep you signed in and protect authenticated requests. These cookies are required for the app to work correctly.

We may use service providers for hosting, database storage, payments, email delivery, transcription, AI scoring, analytics, monitoring, and file storage. These providers process information only as needed to provide their services to us.

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information, including backend-only access to sensitive API keys, hashed passwords, secure sessions, and restricted access to production services.

No online service can guarantee absolute security. Please use a strong password and keep your account credentials private.

You can update your name, email address, and password in your account preferences. You can cancel a paid subscription from the plan section. You may contact us to request help with account or privacy-related questions.

You can delete your account at any time from your account preferences. Deleting your account permanently removes your account and associated practice data, including your practice sessions, transcripts, scores, and recordings. You may also contact us to request deletion of your personal information.

NAATIUrdu is intended for users preparing for language testing and is not directed at children.

We may update this Privacy Policy as the product, providers, or legal requirements change. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new last updated date.
